Running from 2008 to 2019, the Conference on Rhetorical Theory (originally, the University of South Carolina Conference on Rhetoric Theory) aimed to facilitate collaborative and critical interdisciplinary dialogue about the history, work, and future of rhetorical theory.
The conference featured a limited number of participants and a workshop format that de-emphasized the reading of full papers in favor of directed discussion around specific topic areas that reflect and embody the conference theme.
Launched in 2008, by Erik Doxtader, John Muckelbauer and Mindy Fenske, the conference series concluded in 2019.
